The most delicious tuna salad! Nice size sandwich – not gigantic, satisfying.

Yes, we agree – thank you, Heidi! Our tuna sandwich is not the usual with mayo, celery, onion, perhaps some apple or nuts. No, ours is moist and tangy with onions, tomatoes, capers and even a little cilantro. Just wonderful. And very low in fat too since we don’t use a bit of mayo in the mix. A little mayo/sour cream spread does go on the bread but some customers even dispense with that. We routinely get requests from customers for the recipe but you would have to present proof of out-of-state residency for us to part with this one! Thanks for enjoying our food!

Additionally, we have many new Tea Cozies at the store and a line of brand new accessories – infuser mugs, tea & jar sets, cast iron teapots and porcelain spoons. A new tea cozy line from Canada has turned out to be particularly fun.

These are from the famous baking company in Winston-Salem, in business since 1930. In 1992, they established Salem Baking Company for national distribution of their famous cookies. We’re very particular about what we select – if it says Cranberry Orange, we have to be able to taste it. We rejected the Ginger Spice because we thought the molasses came through too prominently, the Tangerine Orange was not orange enough and on it goes. We’ll feature our other finds soon.
