Season’s Greetings!

j0440332Hope everyone had a great Christmas!  We sure did.  We closed the Tea Room and the office early on Christmas Eve.  I stopped by the Tea Room on the 24th and saw some of our regular customers and was able to wish them all a Merry Christmas.  Jacque was hard at work making last-minute custom gift baskets for several customers and I filled bags of tea as fast as I could.  Favorites were Earl Grey, Rooibos Afrikana, Cranberry Orange and Chai.  One gentleman came in to request the base for Chai tea and then asked us where he could get the spices.  He was overjoyed to hear we had Chai already pre-blended and mixed and he quickly changed his order.

Today is a busy day at the Tea Room.  It is a rainy, blustery sort of day in New York and what better way to spend it than in the warmth of our Tea Room.  All those gift certificates that were purchased…I’m sure we’ll see a few of those used today.    And an added bonus to the day – it’s my little poodle’s birthday – Happy Birthday Silver!  I have some freeze-dried ice cream treats planned for him.

We agreed that today was the perfect day for coming to Silver Tips! If today wasn’t a day to linger over a bowl of soup and a pot of tea I don’t know what would be! As always it was perfect. Love the artwork too! We tried one of the China black teas…can’t remember the name but it said it was a robust cup good with or without milk. It was delicious! I bought a bag of a rooibos and jasmine combo that I enjoy but when I need more black tea I will get that China black.
Happy Birthday Silver! Hope you enjoyed your day together!

Sorry I missed you and glad you had a good visit. Silver and I enjoyed his special day together, even through the nasty weather. I believe you had the Ancient Forest Yunnan – wonderful tea. Thanks for your continued business and Happy New Year, Diane!

yes, Ancient Forest Yunnan; that was it!
And I see from today’s blog, that the concept of mixing Jasmine with Rooibos is new to you! Try it and let me know what you think.

I see last year that you had a tea tasting in March. Will you be having another one sometime in 2010?
