This was a hopping weekend in Tarrytown. Everyone was out and every restaurant was full, ours included. Saturday was a sunny, crisp Fall Day and after a rainy Friday, locals and tourists alike were out and about. I was determined to buy a winter coat for my dog at the local Bark & Meow, a little gem of a store where the owner, Laura, lovingly and expertly handles animals and owners alike.
At the tearoom, we offered Jacque’s phenomenal Spinach Quiche as a Special and we kept her baking both days! We paired it with Salad or Soup and included a Bourbon Walnut Pie which we served warm, with a scoop of Ice Cream. Very very good.
Our People’s Choice Award for the top 10 teas is coming along well and we have a stack of votes which we will tally after October 15. Meanwhile, yet another weekly winner was notified that they won 100 additional Bonus Points just for using their card the previous week. We even had the Hooleys in – they were the first week’s winners!
